Year Two Day One Hundred and Forty Six - The Artist's Den

Dear all,

Today, I stumbled across an absolute gem in Collingwood, a new artist's studio that has opened up in the heart of downtown, The Artist's Den. Obviously, an new artistic endeavour in Collingwood is extremely exciting and encouraging and I was delighted to have the chance to look around. http://www.theartistsden.ca

The studio showcases the work of Mark Berens ( a Landscape painter) and Donna Michelle ( a Jeweller). The space is fantastic with a gallery a the front and then studio at the back where you can watch the artist at work. I loved the way they had designed the interior and their use of driftwood. It has a rustic yet contemporary feel and is a real boost for Collingwood, this particular area of downtown being catapulted into cool-town with the addition of the Tremont and Library. The jewelry is gorgeous and art works are superb with printed greetings cards on offer if you are not necessarily looking for a large art piece.

Well worth a look if you are in the area!
