Year Two Day One Hundred and Fifty Two - The Erie Beach Hotel

Dear all,

Today, Darren and I took the truck down to Simcoe for a few necessary repairs and managed to fit in a wonderful supper with Bob and Mary Lou. We have been talking about the famous Erie Beach Hotel for ages ( famous for their Celery Seed Garlic Bread.. more on that to follow) . http://www.eriebeachhotel.com/terraceroom.html
The terrace room is right in the heart of Port Dover overlooking the lake. They serve the classic local fresh water fish, Perch and Pickerel so we were quick to order a plate of both. The fish was lightly breaded and seasoned and lightly fried. It was delectable, so flavourful and very more-ish!
I managed to sneak in an order of jalapeno peppers and then there was the celery seed garlic bread....
It is literally a BRICK of celery seed garlicky goodness. Perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. Amazing! We ordered 8 pieces and that was ALOT.
It's a great spot and wonderful for a hearty meal with a fabulous view of Lake Erie.

And in other news:
1. Its spring! And more blossom for all you flower-loving folks!

2. I have finished my copy of Matisse's Red Room!
