Year Two Day One Hundred and Fifty Eight - Horses Ploughing the Field

Dear all,

Check out what we found on Grey Road 4 today: A farmer working in his fields with FOUR HORSES pulling his fascinating 'flattening' device that was being hauled along through the earth by the power of the glorious creatures.
What an amazing photo opportunity! Not something you see everyday. Grey Road 4 runs through a section of countryside inhabited by many from the Mennonite community. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mennonite#Canada

As there happened to be four artists in the car at the time... ( Karen, Calvin, Heather and I), everyone whipped out their cameras before you could say, "holy horses" and we managed to snap some fabulous pictures.
After wanting to start painting horses for a while, I decided this might be the perfect opportunity..... Above is a picture of my lay-in... a long way to go.. but it's a good start. I am feeling good about it! Horses are my new muse, *hurray*!
