Year Two Day One Hundred and Fifty Five - Double Doors Gallery

Dear all,

This evening, I met lovely Karen at the famous Double Doors Gallery http://ddsag.com/ to join the gang from Curry's for a gallery opening celebrating all their own *brilliant* work https://www.currys.com/generic.htm?ECINFO=barriestore
The show is called 'Signs of Life', http://ddsag.com/shows2012/Signs_of_life/shows2012_signsoflife.html and is open until May 27th. The work is exquisite and includes the art of John David Anderson (AMAZING artist and teacher) which was, as always, brilliant. The gallery is situated on Horseshoe Valley road and one might drive past it without a second thought (it resembles an old rustic barn)  yet inside is a gorgeous and airy gallery which houses regular art shows throughout the year.
Karen and I are just starting out on our artistic career and know well the importance of networking and 'mingling' and its critical role in our trajectory towards success. Despite my years of going to many [many] parties, mingling with gorgeously amazing arty folk can be pretty terrifying. But at least we are being proactive and attending all these wonderful local events. Soon, we will branch out and start to socialize *gulp* and become gorgeously amazing arty folk ourselves. Its the goal!

It was a lovely evening and I was so glad we went.  Anyone passing through Horseshoe Valley should drop in - It's well worth a look.
