Year Two Day One Hundred and Fifty Six - Art Road Trip

Dear all,

Today was a treat as Karen, Calvin and Heather came to Collingwood and we embarked on an epic road trip! First stop ( after a quick jaunt around CWood), was the lookout at Blue Mountain.

The weather was GLORIOUS. We are embracing a gorgeous heat wave and the four of us had an amazing day tearing around Georgian Bay and the Beaver Valley.
We stopped off in Clarksburg http://www.clarksburg.ca/ where Calvin purchased a fabulous straw hat from the Hardware Store (for $7). Yep, no joke. And he looks like a walked straight out of a Toronto boutique!
We realised, quickly, that nothing much happens on a 'Tuesday' around Georgian Bay. Every art gallery we stumbled upon was closed. Despite our obvious disappointment with not realizing Tuesday is the new Sunday, we had a gorgeous day pottering around Thornbury and Clarksburg and taking some wonderful photos. *good inspiration for painting*

And we managed to squeeze in a lovely snack at the wonderful Dam Pub *sigh*. http://www.thedampub.ca/ We had a lovely lovely day!
