Year Two Day Twenty Two - Moving Mattresses

Dear all,

We are having a great couple of weeks zigzagging to and from the cottage, clearing out and dumping all the waste and junk that was left over from the previous owners ( but has now been there for at good few years).
We had already picked up our brand new Dock Ramp from Innovative Docking Solutions ( The owner has an amazing dog, it's worth popping in just to meet her) http://www.innovativedockingsystems.ca
We managed to get the ramp over to the island on the boat and as soon as we touched down, we got clearing!
It was a cloudy day with talk of a thunder storm coming our way so we charged on hoping to miss the rain.
We managed to get at least 10 rusty bed frames in the boat as well as multiple mattresses and endless bags of other junk (people leave the most bizarre things behind: we found an entire set of inspirational 'self help' videos and a full wardrobe of clothes).
It took a while, but we filled the boat and had a well earned rest before we motored back to the mainland, the trailer and the dump!

I had to position myself on the mattresses to stop them flying off into the water but we managed it without any major problems (apart from me acquiring a 'blackish' eye after falling 'under' a mattress-in-motion)
All in all, a fabulous day and well worth the trip!
