Dear all,
Holy SMOKES! It's hot hot hot HOT!!! Darren and I have made a couple of panic-purchases after a couple of hard night 'sans-sleep'. The humid ex is off the scale and although I LOVE hot weather, life is certainly more comfortable when standing next to a fan.
Here are a couple of our latest acquisitions in their full cold-air-blasting glory: A rather swanky floor fan and a bad-ass air conditioning unit whose exhaust tube is currently hot enough to boil an egg.
We had rather an unusual occurrence this morning as poor Vince, who had stayed over for a Burger and TV Poker, trapped a nerve in his back and had debilitating shoulder pain. We ended up driving him home to Owen Sound ( I got to drive his VW Jetta - It was awesome!), while D took him in the Bimmer.
It was pretty cool driving the Jetta if only for a very short drive and we managed to get Vince safely to his Chiropractor appointment without any major incidents.
Once in Owen Sounds, I managed to squeeze in a quick run while Darren waited for Vince to finish with his appointment. I was also keen to explore Owen Sound by foot and wanted to fit in a run before the sun turned into a Bunsen Burner. It was wonderful - Owen Sound is a really lovely town and great for running ( lots of hills... nasty but very good endurance training!)
Back in Collingwood and life is great! Our A/C is on and the water is as warm as a bath! Here is a quick pic from Sunset Point this evening!
