Year Two Day Thirty Eight - Kate Middleton's Dress

Yikes! What a bizarre set of photos I stumbled across today whilst browsing through various fashion channels today....

Yes, you may recognize the 'figure' above - it's one of the most famous dresses in the world and was worn by Duchess Catherine in April of this year when she married Prince William and the world rejoiced. Now the dust has settled, the dress is being displayed at Grandma's house for the summer and you and I can go see the dress in exchange for a couple of quid and probably a bit of a wait outside to get in. 

The funny thing about this display is that it looks like it might be more at home in the Addams family heirlooms - it's a gorgeous dress but goodness, seeing a floating tiara and strange ghostly 'body less' bodice is quite unnerving, even in the photos!

On the other hand, clever them for being able to 'hide' the metal cables ( I presume there must be some sort of structural reinforcement in place to allow the mystical crown to remain in position). I'm sure it's worth the line up though, especially if you are a fan of the lovely Kate.
