Day One Hundred and Seventy Six - Thirty Three

Dear all,

Hurray! I am now a proper grown up officially 'in my thirties'. I think I look noticeably more mature (although I did get asked for ID at the LCBO rather ceremoniously on my birthday. To think I looked 18 on my 33rd birthday is most certainly very joyous)

I have had a wonderful day of pampering myself with coffees, some lovely pressies, a cheeky wax at my beloved 'Strands', a million wonderful messages from all my amazing friends on Facebook, skype and the phone, more coffees and then a wonderful early evening drink with my darling Karla and Jay. Due to the rather inclement weather of recent days, my plan to go paint-balling was sadly thwarted, but am sure will get around to it when the sun comes out again. The one thing missing on my birthday was gorgeous Darren who had to pop to the states for work, but am sure we will make up for it 100 fold another time.

Wednesday night also means Trivia and everyone was out! Anna, Nadia, Mel and Di treated me to drinks and a fabulous shooter [known in the business as a 'blow job']. The sequence of events is documented by the photos below showing Di assisting me with the shooter which I was told, I could not drink using my hands.. just my mouth.

Its been a wonderful day. I have a few mini-resolutions for for year ahead as per the list below:

Birthday Resolutions
1. To paint lots of fabulous paintings
2. To become a permanent resident in Canada
3. To win the lottery (might as well put that in there)
4. To help Darren renovate his cottage
5. To continue my training as a domestic Goddess
6. To travel to at least 5 places I haven't been to before
7. To do lots of unusual things
8. To keep on blogging
9. To get my art website up and running
10. To win the Collingwood 5km in October.

Hmmm, that will do for starters. I can always amend the list over the course of the year, that is the joy of lists.

Thank you to everyone for such a lovely birthday!
