Dear all,
Still in Birthday mode, I decided to treat my hard working feet to a blissful pedicure at one of my favorite spot, Strands (http://www.strandssalonandspa.ca/). The AMAZING Melissa is already back from Maternity leave after giving birth to the beautiful Lily-Bob in July. As always, she was a miracle worker!
I had to do a 'before' shot and although hard to see due to the deliberate distance between lens and feet, I can tell you right now, they are not beautiful.
Melissa didn't seem in any way phased by my farm-abused and running-fatigued feet and got to work straight away popping them in a massaging foot spa.
She then handed me a pile of colour swabs and asked me to choose a colour. I was overwhelmed by choice, it was fantastic with fabulous names like 'Bling Dynasty' and 'Clubbing all NIght'. I went for the classic 'Bastille my love', a deep red tone with a sultry finish.
Melissa spent ONE HOUR working on my feet. She used a multitude of tools including an electrical pumice, a thin metal stick like object and a buffer. An initial layer of clear polish was laid on and then two coats of the colour. It looked amazing. And of course, from start to finish, we chatted about everything from Babies to Mennonites! Melissa is so fabulous, thank you again gorgeous girl for making my nails look amazing and for being super woman!
Melissa, I salute you, you are amazing!
