Year Two Day Sixty Two - Cora

Dear all,

We are off in our fabulous road trip and started off the holiday with a trip to Cora! We all packed ourselves up into Darren's car and after less than an hour, we had stopped off in Chapters (http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/home/?cookieCheck=1), Barrie for a speed-shop for some reading material ( Vogue, Cosmo, Vanity Fair, Hello) and a Starbucks. As we started to discuss our various food-stops, Kerry and Vince were aghast when they found out I had never been to Cora, a nationwide chain that specializes in breakfast.
Cora started out in Montreal with a small snack bar and made it her mission to feed the nation with fabulous food, focusing on amazing breakfasts. http://www.chezcora.com/home. She truly has a unique style, the range of food on offer is outstanding and almost every meal has a large of fruit included with the whole plate beautifully presented.
Darren, Vince and Kerry love love LOVE Cora. They warned me that I may feel 'overwhelmed' by the menu and this turned out to be a major understatement. Vince finally issued me with a 'time ultimatum' - 60 seconds to decide on what I wanted *eeeek*. They had crepes, waffles, omelettes, eggs, eggs bennie, everything! It was insane! And apparently everything tastes great *groan* how to choose?? I suggested I might choose a salad from the Lunch Menu but that was poo-pooed immediately... gaaa Cora, your menu is so fabulous!!

Kerry, Vince and Darren all selected the Eggs Benedict ( this should have been a major clue) and I managed to pick out the 'Theo Omelette' a HUGE eggy feast filled with a plethora of vegetables.

I was so overwhelmed by our meal that I forgot to take any photos *!!!* but managed to take this one of Vince - not a very glamorous photo but at the very least, shows the fabulous and animated decor and ambiance of the restaurant.
It was an exceptional brunch and we all left full and content and ready for our cross country trek across into Quebec. HURRAY!
