Year Two Day Sixty Three - Peak to Shore Music Festival

Dear all,

It's the weekend and after a lovely morning, Karla and I decided to head out to Blue Mountain to sample the musical treats on show at The Peak to Shore Music Festival. http://www.peaktoshore.com/
We didn't know what to expect but blimy, it was packed!! they had opened up all the overspill parking lots and there were people everywhere. It was like the middle of January but 29 degrees!
The first thing that caught our eye was an artist carving an owl out of a plank of cedar. It was pretty impressive. They were having a break from the music when we arrived so we sought refuse on the glorious patio of K2 and sipped on a cold Rikards White.
We then moved on to Copper Blues to find a better spot in order to see the music which had now started up again. The stage was in the centre of the village - a perfect spot. We managed to catch 'Organic Funk' (http://youtu.be/K1iyY83I8hY)  a brilliant funk band that played a variety of covers and their own music. Clearly excellent musicians, it was the perfect accompaniment to a pint on the piazza.

It was a lovely lovely afternoon. The festival is continuing on through the weekend so I urge all locals to go check it out.

**And it's free!
