Year Two Day Fifty One - Hack Saw

Dear all,

Ahhhh another fabulous day - We are living in Paradise!
We are hard at work at the cottage and my latest challenge was to help with work on the dock... it was a significant task but before that, I got to help Darren attach some plastic supports to the deck edge that would eventually aid us mount and also pull out the ramp in Spring and Winter.
I was then promoted to 'Major Tools Handler' and given the assignment of 'cutting off the scary, rusty , metal prongs' that have been protruding out of the rock right next to our magnificent Deck.
SO, Darren gave me his Hack Saw!!!! And I set to work. He gave me a couple of handy hints - don't twist or bend the blade ( or it will snap) and go gently ( it will work eventually...). It worked! I positioned myself in the water ( ahhh crocs) and used slow but informed strokes to cut through the metal. It wasn't easy ( the angle was very challenging and I took a couple of involuntary 'dip's in the water) but it I managed it and didn't break the saw!
Here is the rock, now rust free! Much safer for advanced diving and easy on the rod during fishing expeditions.

And in other news:
1. Darren and I also managed to manoeuvre the 'floating' dock into slightly more manageable waters ( it was 'rising above' the water line some what so we needed to take some action - it involved two '2 by 4's and a lot of elbow grease.
2. Darren's ramp is FANTASTIC!!

Here is the finished ramp! Now we need to get it in the water....
3. The cottage is looking clean - check out the [now clear] kitchen table!
