Dear all,
We are just putting the final touches on the dock and had picked up a couple of dock cleats to fix onto the wooden slates that would provide and easy way to tie up the boat when chugging up alongside. Darren had enlisted me to initiate the work which include 'detailed' measurements and decision making based on the positioning... *phew*.
Once the decision making regarding the positioning had been signed off (by Darren) we set to work on securing the cleats. Darren immediately exclaimed that we must, at all cost, use his fantastic set of 'sockets' that he purchased from a mechanic supplier in order to get the best set possible ( he loves those sockets).
He showed me how to use the sockets ( they help screw in the bolts about a million times faster and easier than if you were using just a regular wrench or something similar.
So I set to work and managed to nail down those cleats in no time at all - it was brilliant!
Here is the finished item! Firmly locked in and ready for anything. They are so useful and brilliant when you want to quickly loop in the boat. I love those sockets!
And in other news:
1. I am battling on with the brush clean up - here is the latest brush pile that seems to have eclipsed the last one... this time it's all pine ( i.e sticky yet great to burn)
And here is the tree that I managed to decimate single-handedly!
