Day One Hundred and Fourteen - Tubing

Dear all

It was an AMAZING day today. Darren's lovely family are up from Pennsylvania and they were barely through the door when we were out surfing the lake on the newly purchased 'tube'. A 'tube' is not really shaped like a tube at all, in fact, it looks like a very large cream doughnut.

After Darren inflated the tube using a very nifty, battery charged pump, we rolled the tube out to the boat and after an epic dinner ( I have problems with portion control... what can I say) Darren took the lead in our tubing adventure!

First up were Jordan, Nicole and Sarah. Darren was driving the Jet Ski and I was 'spotting' [making sure the rope doesn't get caught/ watching out for 'man over board' situations etc etc. It was fantastic. The girls loved it. We sped off out of the marina and I couldn't help but laugh out loud watching their faces so totally exhilarated.
On return to shore, we switched up and I got on with Nicole and Ryan ( who had been waiting patiently back at the marina). I have gotta say, it was absolutely hilarious, much harder than it looks and I came off more than anyone; one time I even got good air! It's such an incredible feeling with the spray in your face being dragged along at 40km/h by the mischievous D who likes to pop in a sporadic turn after an acceleration to get the adrenalin racing.

It was such a brilliant evening though and so lovely to meet all the family. More again tomorrow, hurray!
