Dear all
The day had finally arrived: Laura and Gordon's Golden Wedding at the Inn! Despite the rain of late, we couldn't have wished for a more beautiful day with bright sunshine, turquoise skies and a cool breeze that held off the brutal humidity.
It was the first Marque that we have had erected at the inn bought over to us by 'Happenings' of Collingwood and installed in a flash. The inn can comfortably house 32 but on the day, the head count reached 56 for the main event with people staying in nearby accommodations ( www.prettyriverinn.com)
We did everything else and although it was a huge amount of work and I sadly got to miss out on most of the weekend with Darren's wonderful family, it was a total success and a joy to see everyone having such a fabulous time.
The family were all originally from Scotland ( i.e. shy, retiring types....) so arrived with [a gallon or two of] booze, a huge sound system and various activities set up for the evening. The tent was by the pool so the kids were all in heaven and despite a minor setback a the inn (no water) it was a total triumph!!!

Other highlights included Paul's fabulous smoked pork tenderloin ( 6 hours of smoking on an apple wood smoker ) a fabulous array of appetizers looking out over the Pretty River Valley and a sun set to die for. Just wonderful!
It is truly a fabulous venue to get married.
