Day One Hundred and Twenty Two - Chambord

Dear all,

Its Friday and the number one priority for the evening is the celebrate! The mighty Vince joined us down in Collingwood for a weekend of fun and was keen to get cracking. After we met up with Darren after work for a cold beer on the patio of The Huron Club, we sped back home ready for a veritable feast and quick ride on the jet ski.
As you know, the current trend and words on everyones lips are the mysterious 'Black-Raspberries' and in tribute to the uber-fruit, Darren made a cheeky detour to the LCBO and purchased a bottle of Chambord, a liquor made from the fruit and decanted in possibly the most decadent looking bottle I have ever seen.
And oh my goodness, [as always] he was right! What a taste sensation. We were all so excited we decided on to have a special 'Chombard Photo Shoot' [as pictured below] with everyone holding the black raspberry goblet of goodness. The website listed below will give you some saucy ideas on how to use the liquor and I truly think it will now forever be a stable in my drinks cabinet.

Darren recommended that we try it with Ice Cream with a generous slug of the liquor poured over top. It can tell you right here and now: it was sensational!
It is my new mission to try every cocktail listed on the website - I will keep everyone duly updated on my favorites!

And in other news:
1. We had a fantastic time out on the boat this evening. Darren and Vince towed me behind on the tube at break-neck speed as the sun was setting over Blue Mountain: it was incredible. Tubing 'solo' is quite an adventure to say the least and I have a sneaking suspicion that I will not have full use of my upper body in the morning. It was worth it though! Totally brilliant!
