Day Sixty Two - Drive Through Cappucino

Dear all,

Despite having lived in Canada for a while now... it dawned on me while driving into town that I had not yet drawn up to a 'drive-through' and bought a coffee. Or in fact anything.
So, with my new mission in place: to purchase drive-through Cappuccinos for D and I (and giving myself a 3 minute window for the detour) I veered off piste in search of Starbucks.

Being a smaller branch of Starbucks, Collingwood doesn't have a fancy intercom used to order your coffee but instead the entire transaction is done face to face through the drive-through portal. I was served by a very nice girl called Michelle who appeared to find it quite amusing that it was clearly the first time I had ordered coffee from a drive through.

Two coffees to go, one curb mounted and off I went. I noticed a 'small' queue behind me... In retrospect, I should have really put a little sign up on my rear wind shield saying 'beginner'.

And in other news:
1. I have started another Picasso for D: This time a copy of 'La Reve'.
Note to self: Painting is very productive whilst watching Return of the Jedi

2. Lorraine, who is popping in from the UK whilst on her travels in Canada, made a fabulous chilli today. I need to get a hold of her recipe book... its fabulous and having tasted her banana bread - I vow to follow her recipes WORD FOR WORD
