Day Sixty Three - Qigong Distant Energy Healing

Dear all

Whilst drifting through facebook this afternoon, an update popped up on my news feed that sparked my interest enough to give it a go as part of my daily challenge. What was being advertised was a 'global' Qigong healing session, which promised 'instant' results in improving mental and physical well being. The session would be broadcast 'globally' at 7pm. Qigong is a Chinese meditative practice that uses slow and very graceful movements alongside controlled breathing techniques to promote circulation of 'QI' within the body and is thought to enhance a practitioners overall health.

Worth a go, I thought..

So, after work, I went for a quick run and got mildly sidetracked after seeing Connie and Gerry sitting outside on the veranda so popped into their beautiful home for a quick glass of vino ( I was sure this would enhance the effects of the Qigong)

At 6:50pm I dashed back to the inn eager to join the global Qi-'gang'.. but on clicking on the Facebook link, I realized with a sinking heart that the time specified for the global link up was Los Angeles time (PDT) gaaaaaaa. I was going to have to wait FOUR HOURS.
So, I went back to Connie and Gerrys.

After a glass or two later, I plodded back to the inn ready for the 11pm session. On reading up on Qigong, I had visions of an online meditation session with some sort of interactive 'workshop' which would give guidance throughout.
On the strike of 11.. I clicked on the facebook site very intrigued about what lay ahead and low and behold I was greeted with this message:

You can join this free distant energy healing session by using your intention to be included. If you wish to join, just close your eyes for a minute when you read this and mentally say that you intend to join the session and want to be included. That is all you have to do to connect with the energy and you don't have to do anything else.

Hmmmmm.

Not 'quite' what I had expected and I am still very unsure as to the mental and physical benefits of closing my eyes.. but I am sure it enhanced my life in someway. Bring on the Qigong.

And in other news:
1:The wonderful Nadine left today (with her winter jacket) for Timmins. She will be greatly missed. Go forth and conquer the gardens of Canada Nadine!

2. Angus sunbathing: Such a hard life.
