Well, well, well... everyone said it would come, but I think even the most stalwart Collingwood resident is a little perturbed by the snow of May 8th.
Maybe it's the fact that the snow has settled. Or maybe that last week we were all complaining of sun burn. Its gotta be one of the two. But, I tell ya, everyone is VERY confused. We were just about to get the 'fly' masks on the horses when the snow came down... they are all feeling most bemused, free from their winter coats and now covered in ice crystals!
Everyone's plans for the day were thwarted as we stumbled around in the candle light ( no power or water) and I was rationing out my lap top time as the battery juice trickled away..
Turns out... the power came on again by the time I had escaped back to the haven with Darren. Note to all: I was searching for a standing fan on ebay last week!

Today is MAY THE 8TH!
And in other news:
1. Always surprised when something actually works.... my [abundant] sunflower seeds are bursting forth at an alarming rate. Hopefully last nights ice storm won't have killed them all off.
