Day Sixty - 3D VIP screening

Dear all

It was a dark and stormy night in Collingwood... and despite a very strong urge to close the shutters, stoke the hearth and cook up a warming broth, D and I braved the gales and charged forth to The Galaxy Cinema to watch the 3D version of 'How to Train Your Dragon'. Now, despite the clunky title, the film has received rave reviews, flying up there with the best of them, including 2009's fabulous 'Up'. I would have been happy with Iron Man and was even considering facing my teenage phobia of horror films and sit through the new CGI version of 'Nightmare on Elm Street'. But after taking a glance at some trusted and very interesting reviews, Darren suggested our best bet would be with the Dragon flick, so off we went.

All I can say is GO AND SEE THIS FILM.

Not only did we partake in a 'large' Yogen Fruz (The 'healthy' cinema option: Frozen yogurt blended with fruits of your choice. I went for raspberry, kiwi and peach) but on arrival at the cinema, the stars were clearly aligned and it turns out we had the WHOLE auditorium to ourselves. A VIP 3D screening of How To Train Your Dragon. Life doesn't get much better that that.

The movie is breathtaking and in 3D catapults you into a world that is truly magical. It kicks the ass off Avatar, has more action and jaw dropping moments than Wall E and Up and will have you searching for a pet 'night fury' dragon on ebay when you get home. This movie is awesome. If you see any film at the pictures this year, How to Train Your Dragon is a dazzling display of movie making at its best.

And in other news:
1. I finished Darren's Picasso
