Day Sixty Five - Red Lipstick

Dear all,

Apart from a mild obsession with 'Benefit' Makeup, I tend to veer on the side of the 'very natural' look, a combination, some might say, of no time and [despite the little black dresses] being an old hippy at heart. So today I decided to spend the entire day wearing bright-red lipstick.

I chose a brand of Scarlet 'lip lacquer' from the High Priestess of the high street, 'L'Oreal'.
Note to all: I work on a FARM and am habitually covered in mud and/ or other bad things.

I managed to stay the whole day with lipstick on and I must say the response was hilarious. Highlights of the day included Big Paul asking me if I had 'cut my lip', Skyla desperately trying to give me a full frontal mouth kiss (what can I say.. horses like lipstick) and Chris asking me if I had had botox injected into my lips.
I was involved in a myriad of different tasks today from washing dishes to putting up a large 'horse shelter' for Noni, the Stallion: All done wearing red. I can't say whether it enhanced my running but I managed to fit in 10km looking luscious. With a quick re-touch, I finished off the day looking ruby radiant at Tuesday Night Art Class.
Wearing lipstick certainly makes a statement but I think I will be going back to my 'nude-lips' look... Once a hippy.. always a hippy.

And in other news:
1. Darren and I stopped to gaze at the sun set over Georgian Bay on the way to Thornbury.
Just beautiful.

2. I rattled off a copy of Picasso's 'Blue Nude' in Art Class. Darren's 'Picasso Project' is going very well.
