Year Two Day One Hundred and Thirty Two - Photoshop

Dear all,

Today, I was on the final stretch of my mammoth sculpture project which included a very interesting slant on the 'traditional' sculpture: We had to use to photoshop to create a new 'virtual' location for our site specific installations!
Here is a picture I took of D's office - the soon to be home of my large, crazy sculpture. Karen, Janine and I managed to secure adjoining computers in the library (which required an 8am start) and between the three of us, we managed to work out how to open the photoshop program and start tweaking and pasting.
The day before, we had created our own 'green screen environment' using Karen's wonderful pea green sheet and the drawing studio. Here you can see my sculpture in various different poses.

We then started to cut around and paste the image onto the location photo... it's a very easy program to navigate around but as always with anything new, we encountered a few teething problems: as seen in the below screen shot.
But, after a little while of navigating myself around the program, I managed to get it looking great - a revelation! Photoshop is a magical and wonderful tool. Here is the finished product!

And in other other:
1. I've finished my lino cut print! Seven bright and beautiful colours!
