Year Two Day One Hundred and Thirty One - Rubber Mould

Dear all,

Today (ahhhh, it's all relative),  I another gorgeous Berenice to my tribe of Bereni *plural*. I have missed out a few steps.. but in short, we made a rubber mould of our original stone sculptures and then made a plaster mould to hold the rubber mould in place.... Keeping up? We are constantly try to...

Here are my plaster and rubber moulds, now empty but having done a great job casting both wax and 'hydrostone' versions of the lovely Berenice.
Here are the girls... all sitting next to Darren's computer. His lovely harem of Bereni.

We managed to squeeze in a quick casting this week using Polyurethane( i think) , a plastic material that dries clear like glass. The clear Berenice is an absolute beauty! I love her. Here she is after being de-moulded.
The plastic is very light and hard which is strange as you think it will be heavier. It's a wonderful effect and I am very pleased with her and excited to add her to D's collection!
