Day Two Hundred and Forty Two - XBox Pinball

Dear all,

The nights are drawing in and none more so than this evening with a sharp chill in the air and the darkness descending at around 5pm *whimper*. I was working till pretty late but managed to escape in time for a couple of rounds of Darrens new favorite game: X Box Pinball!

I am a relative novice to computer games but this game attracted my attention as it simulated the iconic game of pinball to a tee and with the fantastic bows and whistles that xbox wizardry can provide.

I had even been a little intimidated by the xbox controller having never really used one before and seeing a multitude of pros play as if the joystick was an extension of their own body.

However, a strange thing happened when I started playing pinball: it was like I had been playing it for years!

Here are a couple of pictures of me in action. I experienced the well-documented 'dry-eye' caused by [I was staggered by this] not blinking. I was so engrossed in the pinball, I actually forgot to blink! Amazing the power of the Xbox and those subliminal messages.

Anyway, I loved it. And am addicted. Yay! I have finally entered the realm of the gamer! Bring on the International Pinball Championships!
