Day One Hundred and Thirty Seven - Art Blog

Dear all,

On a mission to dive head first into the art world, today I started up a blog that is designed to spread the word of Flower Bee Art.

I became inspired after reading 'The Art of Non Conformity' by Chris Guillebeau in which he devotes an entire E-Book to 'Money from Art' and how the myth that all artists must therefore be starving and living out of a garbage can is absolutely untrue.

I obviously perked up after hearing this, having been told from an early age that I 'couldn't possibly make a career out of painting'. I am fairly determined to give it a go as I have discovered something that I love doing and seem to have a natural flair for it; moreover producing something that others may also enjoy. 10 % of what we might describe as being 'talent' is attributed to ones natural ability so I am churning out the paintings as we speak!

1. For the first time [in a long time] I have taken myself off the conveyabelt of life and have opened a book. I have plunged into the World Wide Best Seller, 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'. I am attempting to get through more than two pages a night before I falling asleep... we'll see how that works out..
