Dear all,
Darren has gone to the States for the week so I have been left home alone and on a mission to highly achieve! First up, I took a trip to the famous 'Too Good to Be Through' in Collingwood. http://www.toogoodtobethrough.ca/about.htm
This may become my new 'problem' area as the minute I walked through the door, it was like angels were bathing the store in light; I had found retail heaven in Collingwood! After my beloved Bullfrog closed down last year, I have been severely lacking in Vintage-input and now I have found it!
This store i jam packed full of fabulous reclaimed furniture with prices that decrease incrementally over time in order to shift the goods. I managed to pick up a bedside table which I am very pleased with. I will not to venture in 'every' day although due to the high turnover of items.. this could prove difficult!
Next stop Winners. Darren and I had actually stopped by last week on our mission to get Cedar Planks from Cosco ( BBQ season is approaching, Hurray!)

Winners is in Barrie and consists of a warehouse jam packed full of cut-price designer goods that are on sale for their cliental to seek out at will. The lay out if vast with all the clothes in rows according to type ( trousers/ active wear etc).
Darren managed to pick up some Calvin Klein socks and I found a gorgeous polka dot dress of my dearest Melon ( not for her, for her beautiful new baby, Sophie!)
Great success all round. You need to be in the right mood to really find the deals but it is great to browse and there is so much, it is pretty much a given that you will a gem of some sort.
And in other news:
1. I am continuing my assault on Still-Life. This one is not quite finished.. but I am nearly there.
