Day Two Hundred and Sixty Six - Lunar Eclipse

Dear all,

I am not normally up at 5:30 but today was a special day: A total Lunar Eclipse.
A lunar Eclipse occurs when the Moon passes behind the Earth which then blocks the sun rays from hitting the moon.
This can only occur when the Moon, the Earth and the Sun are aligned exactly and can be viewed anywhere in the world during the night sky.
That is, if it isn't cloudy. I wasn't feeling positive going to bed seeing a thick band of cloud covering Georgian Bay. When I woke ready for some lunar action, still no luck. We were thwarted by clouds. Ah well.. at least the snow turned blue.
I will have to wait for another year... but hopefully someone in the Northern Hemisphere managed to grab a sighting of this glorious nocturnal phenomena!
