Day Twenty Three - Car Wash

Dear all,

With no mention of rain on the weather forecast... I decided to take my car for a spin down to the local car wash. Living on a farm means that this process is almost immediately redundant as the daily combination of dirt road and guinea hen poo means that I have never really seen the original colour of the metal work. However, in the spirit of spring cleaning, I was keen to give it a go.

I have documented the experience in the attached videos. Highlights were the 'drive in' complete with intercom and key pad - all very high tech. On keying in your unique code, the gates open ( I was visualizing a scene from Star Wars at this point ) and off you go. Manipulating my front wheel into the tracks was interesting... the machine was militant in making sure I was stationed correctly before it started so there was a fair amount of reversing and readjusting before the light went green.
The foam bath, rust care and blow dry were all highlights. I honestly believe my car was lighter afterwards and I certainly felt full of virtue. $7 very well spent.

And in other news:
1. The lake this morning - beautiful
2. WEDNESDAY NIGHT TRIVIA!
Today hosted by the wonderful Anna! It was a triumph, so much fun and Anna was a superb host. My favorite round was of course 'The Oscars'. I didn't do so well in the 'Literature' and ' Bible' rounds and my 'HairBands' knowledge is far from extensive.. but as a whole, our team ( Darren, Dave, Dale and Nadia) gave a solid performance. Vince, Di, Jen and co (with whom we have an alliance) won with flying colours, congratulations to all, a fantastic evening.
