Day Two Hundred and Four - Falling Leaves

Dear all,

The Indian Summer has arrived just in time for the Commonwealth Games! The weather is beautiful. The sky is a deeper blue that you could ever imagine and the leaves are a perfect compliment with their golden, orange and deep red hues.
I had read that in catching a falling Autumn leaf, you will receive tremendous good luck. In fact, every leaf you catch gives you one lucky month the following year!
I was excited about this as I could do with a lucky month next year so I set out ( on an extremely busy day at the inn so my time was [very] limited) to catch a leaf. I can tell you right now, this is an unbelievable difficult task. I urge you to try it at home, it takes a huge amount of skill to catch those leaves: You need speed, dexterity, coordination, luck.. ooo my my, I can see why there is a grand reward from the fairy folk in catching one.
But to my delight, I managed to catch one. It involved a grasp and mini leap into the air and nearly involved a full body slam, but I caught her and here she is! Hurray! One lucky month next year. Ooo I am excited to see what will happen!
I have also heard about a fabulous 'Autumnal' game also called 'Ultimate Leaf Catching' that can be played in teams:
Rules
1. To be played in the Autumnal and Winter months or up until all the leaves have fallen.

2. First to catch 10 leaves wins.

3. All leaves must be placed in your right pocket.

4. The leaf must have fallen from natural causes.

Anyway, a very successful day out in the field and a fabulous year awaits, hurray!
