I am slowly getting back into painting again after a busy summer and today finished my first copy of a famous work by Amedeo Clemente Modigliani. I am still loving the abstract paintings but decided to branch out for my latest fad of churning out Picassos and moved over to his arch rival Modigliani.

Modigliani was an Italien artist who is well known for his paintings and sculpture in a stark yet beautiful, modern style.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amedeo_Modigliani
There was recently a movie made depicting the life of the artist, named after the man himself, 'Modigliani' and starting Andy Garcia and [interestingly] Eva Herzigova. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367188/

Anyway, to coincide with Vince's 40th Birthday, I decided to copy the painting below as his gift and with a [very] limited time frame, I got to work immediately.

Here is the finished painting! Not an 'exact' copy, but near enough and I think Vince liked it! Hurray.
