Today, during a quick trip to Barrie to pick up some swimming trunks ( here's hoping...), we stopped off at Moxie's Grill on advise of lovely Donna, Darren's fabulous hair dresser.
She had recommend the spring rolls saying that they were the 'best' so we thought it rude to not give them a try, especially when in the area. Moxies is tagged onto the far end of Georgian Mall in Barrie.
We arrived thinking it would be a typical Mall-style food court affair and Lordy Lord we couldn't have been more wrong.
We were greeted by a troop of gorgeous young ladies, all wearing black, who serenaded us, then led us to a secluded booth deep in the bowels of the heaving restaurant. We had been transported to what could have been a down town restaurant in NYC. It was slick, stylish and sultry with moody lighting and exquisite looking ladies gliding around with plates of fabulous looking food being delivered to hungry punters.
We ordered the aforementioned Wraps ( which were stunning) and also a plate of sliders and the crab cakes ( i just can't help myself!). Everything was divine, it really was amazing and no surrpise that when we left at around 6pm, there was a huge line up outside the door.
Dix Points to Moxies. Bravo for fabulous apps and wonderful ambiance. We will be going again!
