Today I ventured into the fungal unknown and cooked up an assortment of wild mushrooms. I picked up a 'wild' selection including Chantilly, Shitake, Chanterelles mushrooms. I tentatively picked off the dirt, chucked them in a pan with loads of garlic, parsley and oil and in 3 minutes they were done. Despite their rather alarming appearance. they tasted great!

I also, without realizing, cooked up a health explosion in the form of a spicy carrot and lentil soup and curried brussel sprouts. Despite being super-healthy, I couldn't help noticing Darren's second helping of the spout curry (Darren, I promise you next time there will be meat). But we did have Ben and Jerry's for desert; Chocolate Macadamia... what a discovery.

Today the inn also welcomed two new Guinea Fowl into the fold. They came in a box. We have named them Papa and New. Mac is very excited by this so we have reinforced his cage and body armor and also considering an electrical collar ( also useful for when he escapes)
