Day Two Hundred - Nurse Libby

Dear all

Today, I played the role of 'Nurse Libby', after finding a wounded puppy ( Angus ) sulking after having [I presume] been beaten up an unclassified local ruffians [major suspects being Mr. Racoon/ Mr. Skunks/ Mr. Mac].

He was limping terribly so I bathed his paw in some healing epsom salts while we waited for a [hold your breath and grab the cheque book!] an appointment at the vet. Bathing of the paw involved me holding Angus between my legs and then dabbing his very sore paw into the epsom salts. There was also fresh bacon on hand to act as the highly revered reward system. He looked much better after it and is now on a course of anti-biotics and within hours was back to his usual, mischievous self.

And in other news:
1. It's Chris' 40th Birthday! In celebration, I bought him a case of beer and made him a '40th Turkey Sandwich' ( I cut '4 0' out of processed cheese for the sandwich. Very classy)

2. A blistering fall sunrise from our condo
3. Also a very sad week, Cornelia and Stephan have finally left the inn for their home country, Austria. They will be greatly missed.
