Dear all
Day three and already I have learned a very important lesson: In order to write a blog it is imperative to have a camera on ones self at all times.
That said... as with all phones, my trusty Samsung does apparently come with camera.. yet I seem totally unable to retrieve any pictures that I have taken from said phone.. let alone transfer them to another device.
Anyway.... inspired by the near perfect combination of D, red wine, Dragon's Den and 'Up', I decided that today I would have my first ever professional manicure. Considering that I work on a farm and have smaller-than-normal hobbit hands.. I was a very intrigued as to what the end result would be, but the FABULOUS Melissa at Strands ( The temple of all things beautiful in Collingwood http://www.strandssalonandspa.ca/) is a bone-fide miracle worker! Wonder woman Melissa does not only have an arsenal of tools that make even the worst nails [i.e. mine] look amazing but there were ointments involved... a hand spa.. massages.. ooo lalalalalala just amazing. Melissa, I love you.
Will I be able to go back to 'life without manicure'...
And in other news from today... (all too fabulous to go unnoticed)
1. Chicken and humous pita purchased from 'Pita Pit' in Collingwood. Possibly the best pita ever
2. Found a fabulous Debbie Shuchat vintage dress (in the Barrie Goodwill store behind Big Al's) for $5. Oh my
3. Bought 'Brooks' trainers from a proper running store. I even had to run down a track so they could 'analyze my running style '. Upon entering the store I was wearing a strapless dress and shear stockings. My dress code was particularly poignant when asked by the sales guy how far I run a week on average. I think he was surprised.
Libby!
