Dear all,
The inn has two new residents: Karma and Zen! And no, they were not a gift from the Dalai Lama whilst on his recent visit to Canada, they are our two new cats!
Little Zen ( originally called 'Peace' but we thought that not manly enough and he is proving to be far from 'peaceful' and as he grows more confident by the hour and becoming a little boisterous)

Acquired primarily as 'mousers', I have a strong suspicion it won't matter a jot if they don't kill one mouse for the duration of their 9 lives. Linda has become immediately bonded, having spent 4 1/2 hours with them in the laundry room today as part of their initiation routine [ie being pampered and spoilt constantly].

Karma is a little older than Zen and Linda found her at The Humane Society on their recent open day otherwise known as a 'Cat Bonanza'. http://www.humanesociety.com. Karma immediately jumped on Linda's lap when she sat down in the room and the rest is history. Little Zen was from the vets found abandoned in the local area.

They are just gorgeous. I have never really had a cat so am very intrigued as to the nurturing process when they are young. Zen is just adorable: Here is a video of him in the first moments that I had met him. Just too cute for words!
And in other news:
