Year Two Day Two Hundred and Ten - Electric Car

Dear all, 

Today, Karla and I had the most wonderful treat, on the way to running club http://www.georgiantrianglerunningclub.org/ we stopped in at at Karla's work and happened upon a quite wonderful opportunity....

Karla's boss just happened to be showcasing a brand new electric car.... and we got to drive in it! The photo above is a random (but very cute) 'electric car' found via google... I was desperate to take a photo but didn't want to be too excitable in front of Karla's boss). 

This car was fantastic - it's like turning on your computer... you just press a button and go. And the thing is SILENT. There is NO ENGINE! I tell you, it was quite an experience. Karla drove us around the block and that was me hooked (although I might need to wait a year or 10 until they come down in price). We got to see the Ginormous power cable (that you connect to your house in order to power up your auto) and marvelled at the lovely dashboard ( it's lovely). 

All in all, splendid! And wonderful for our lovely planet, hurray!
